Before you begin: You will need to have an initialized Ledger hardware wallet, plus the Tezos app already installed on your Ledger device. Please, make sure that you also have the Ledger Live application downloaded and installed on your device.

How to get Ledger and TezBox started

Part a) Download and Install TezBox

1. Visit https://tezbox.com and click on the version that matches your system.

2. For the sake of this tutorial we will roll with the macOS system. Selecting this option will lead you to the git repository where the wallet is stored and can be downloaded.

3. Click on TezBox Wallet MacOS and it will download an application. Once downloaded, open it and drag the TezBox app to your Applications folder.

4. Double-click on the TezBox app to fire it (you might need to visit System Preferences → Security & Privacy → General → Under Allow Apps downloaded from → GitHub and allow opening the app). Once you open it, you should see a similar window.

Part a) Link your Ledger Nano S to TezBox

1. Make sure your Ledger Nano S is connected and the Tezos Wallet app on your Ledger is open.

2. On the TezBox Wallet application, click on Link your TezBox:

4. Check your Ledger Nano S, it will show your TZ1 address. Click the right button to confirm it:

5. Next you will get a prompt confirmation on your TezBox Wallet application. Then click on continue and that’s yet you are now in the TezBox dashboard where you can start managing your Tezos.
